Royston Blythe are delighted to announce that last night, rising talents Jade Stephenson and Nicholas Tucker became the regional winners in the L’oreal Colour Trophy and are through to the L’oreal Colour Trophy Grand Finals in June at the O2 areana, London. Nick and Jade presented their model in a spectacular finalist show competing against the most talented L’oreal stylists and colourists in the North West. Their winning look was selected by some of the industries most distinguished and knowledgeable hair influencers.
“Our vision was a modern vintage style, inspired by Prada & Gucci in the 1970’s. Think Studio 54 clothes & disco dancing! The Purdy was a defining look from that era (made famous by Joanna Lumley). We wanted to create a look that made a statement, that’s a classic yet completely on trend. We believe this is the perfect embodiment of fashion’s new mood – the aluminium twist and metallic violet tones added that edge to the soft, yet strong, iconic, feminine hairstyle.”
Our model was amazing and the extent of the transformation caught everyone’s attention. Up & coming designer Jacob Nuttall supplied the sensational, sparkly dress which ultimately completed the spangly 70’s vibe & dramatised the feel.
Royston Blythe is delighted with the result. ” It’s fabulous to see the younger members of our team producing such outstanding results. Their team work throughout the process has been incredible along with their vision and determination to get through to the Grand Final. Both Nick and I are incredibly proud of them – particularly as their competition was of such a high standard. The transformation of the model from first meeting her, to the catwalk show last night was breathtaking”
