The Wedding
Diary.
I am sorry the diary has been so long, however, it has been
a busy few months. I promised you all the dirty details
on mine and Nick's wedding, so here we go.
After a great
send off from the entire salon, we arrive at the Dorchester
on Friday 17th November, to prepare for the Big Day. We
had booked a fabulous roof top suite, that overlooked Hyde
Park and had a bath at would fit 10 men in!! What a thought!
The `Cock Party` was to be later that night and Nick was
unable to attend as he was at Children In Need, with Katie
Price and Peter Andrea.
Planned was
an afternoon of extreme pampering and relaxation, so I took
myself off for a massage and a non surgical face lift that
was needed!! The `Cock Party` was at Blake's Hotel for close
friends from Wolverhampton and London. The night was kicked
off with Pink champagne and canapés and ended up at London's
Top night out at Too To Much, where we met up with Nick.
He had been celebrating Claire Powell's birthday (Katie's
Manager) at a Chelsea restaurant. A great night was had
by all. Thank God I never suffer from hang overs….
The Big Day
was started with a Champagne breakfast and a massive row!!
After packing the bags, Nick had forgotten MY Dior bow tie…
It was only 1 of 4 made, and he had left it at home, I swear
he did it on purpose, to out do me.
In a mad panic,
a taxi took me to every designer in town, with no joy. In
the end, I wore a Cartier necklace around the collar and
still looked better than him!!
I wore a suit
from Alexander Mc Queen and nick wore only 1 of 2 suites
made by Burberry.
After sarnies
and a quick w***, we started to get ready.
The make up
artist, Justine arrived with my sister Maureen and my cousin
Sandra to get us all ready. Followed by Natasha Hamilton
for Nick to do her hair and have a few drinks before the
ceremony with her fiancé Raid.
The wedding
was to be held upstairs in the Penthouse Suite, where we
had only invited 35 very close friends. The balcony was
filled with lit candles and full of white flower, with the
most exquisite fragrance, accompanied by Liz Franklin Kitchen,
a fabulous opera singer, with massive tits!
The ambience
could have been romantic, however during the ceremony I
hadn't turned off my phone and half way through the vows,
the theme tune to James Bond went off.
Bernard Connolly,
one of the ring bearers, answered ` Hello Pussy Galore speaking`,
to everyone's amusement.
The rings
had been designed in South Africa, where the choice and
quality was amazing. We finally decided on identical rings
of 7 princesses cut diamonds, which we have posted over,
thank god we liked them, cos we couldn't have sent them
back.
After the
ceremony, the party continued with 100 more friends. They
included celebrities from the fashion, entertainment and
hairdressing industries. GMTV Penny Smith, Emmerdale`s Lorraine
Chase, Actress Rula Lenska,Singer Natasha Hamilton, Presenters
Sally Grey and Tanya Zeta, Pr to Blake's Cheryl Howard,
Notorious Madam Cynthia Payne, Fashion icon Hilary Alexander,
celebrity hairdressers Richard Ward and Guy Kramer to name
but a few.
The dress
code was Black Tie and Full length and drop dead gorgeous.
The reception
room was totally white with mirrored bar and The American
Drifters sang for an hour and half on a white stage. Everyone
immediately danced and the party atmosphere carried on till
dinner was served, where the tempo changed to the warm tunes
of the rat pack.
Although we
had planned everything down to a tee, the room still took
our breath away. On each table were white 10 foot trees,
draped with large swarovski crystals and white balls of
full flowered roses, the size of footballs. At the base,
the trees were surrounded by 6oo white roses and the room
shimmered with the night lights like an ice palace.
The
food was amazing with the menu as follows;
Medley
of king prawns and scallops with mushy peas.
Pumpkin Froth with parmesan shavings
Fillet of beef with red onions marmalade and beef shank
ravioli
White chocolate and strawberry yogurt bombe( my favourite)
Coffee and petite fours.
After the
speeches, I did try and say afew words, however it didn't
take Nick long to grab the mic off me, to shut me up. Nick
introduced on stage Natasha, who sang `Son of a preacher
man ` Acapulco. It was a standing ovation. What a way to
start the evening's entertainment! The night continued with
the house compare Chris Vickue, introduced an old friend
International Female Impersonator Ceri DuPree, who was a
fabulous Dolly Parton, Tina Turner and loads more.
The laughs
continued with comedy duo. Lick and Chew, who brought the
house down.
Andrew Derbyshire
(Star of the west end show `We Will Rock You`) got everyone
back on their feet, with his amazing voice and what a sexy
mover! The party continued into the very late hours, back
in the white room, with a top DJ and everyone grooving on
the mirrored dance floor.
Guests slowly
started staggering home about 3.45, after a sensational
night! It had been exactly as we had hoped and we hope everyone
enjoyed it as much as we did.
We would like
to thanks everyone for making it a night to remember!
